Dr. James Doyle is an acupuncturist and physician treating patients in the Newton and greater Boston area. He helped found the New England School of Acupuncture in 1974, the first acupuncture school in America. His interest in acupuncture began following a successful practice as a family physician. He now combines Western and Eastern medical knowledge at Comprehensive Medical Services of Newton, which strives to help each patient become as healthy as they can be with the most effective, natural treatment available. He has helped thousands of patients find improvement they hardly thought possible.
Following his training in osteopathic medicine at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Doyle began pursuing the study of traditional Chinese medicine. He trained under James Tin Yau So in the United States and travelled to China’s Nanchang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to further his education. In addition to acupuncture, Dr. Doyle has trained in Chinese herbal medicine.
Patients visiting Dr. Doyle receive care for a broad range of medical issues. He oversees the treatment of all patients, from the initial examination to reevaluations to monitor progress. He is also available at all times for consultation.
