Dr. Hamer brings 30 years of optometric experience to our Pearle locations in Loveland and Longmont, Colorado. He grew up in the Midwest and is a graduate of Indiana University, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1988. He practiced optometry in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years, gaining extensive experience in optometric primary care, contact lens fitting and evaluation, medical management of ocular disease, laser vision co-management, and family optometric care. After two decades of Air Force travel, Dr. Hamer settled in Colorado because of his love of the mountains and outdoor activities. He welcomes patients of all ages and enjoys challenging cases.
