James Hickey, D.O. is originally from Savage, Minnesota. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, before attending Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. After medical school, he completed his internship and residency training at Montana Family Medicine Residency in Billings, Montana. During residency, Dr. Hickey worked as an emergency room physician at a critical access hospital in rural Montana, and after residency started practice there full-time performing a combination of outpatient and inpatient medicine for adults and pediatrics.
Dr. Hickey enjoys taking care of entire families, reaching realistic health care goals for patients, and using technology in medicine to obtain accurate diagnosis. He maintains certification through the American Board of Family Medicine.
When Dr. Hickey is not at work he is usually found fishing and hunting in the mountains, biking, and spending time with his family outdoors.
