Dr. Kalpaxis was very patient and answered all my questions. I felt that he was extremely thorough in my eye exam, referring me out to a retina specialist for further examination.
This was my first visit with Dr. Kalpraxis so I don't have much experience to base the review on. My visit was primarily to confirm my eye prescription to re-order contacts. My prescription that seems to have been constant for last 20 years or so has now changed. My right eye seems to have improved slightly. He explained that it can happen around 30 years of age. He also gave me information about LASIK and recommended Advanced Surface Ablation (PRK & LASEK) for me. The front office staff is super nice. The office may not be as fancy as the Optometrists & lacks the visibly shiny gadgetry but it has nice very nice artwork. All in all a satisfactory visit.

Everyone was very polite, professional and helpful!

Doctor was nice but....office did not honor initial date through zocdoc...nor did it reach out until other timeslots that were available were taken up forcing it to be scheduled at a later date than I needed. When the appointment did arrive....I was waiting well past the original scheduled time into the next bracket, throwing off all my plans for the day. According to the front desk, this was "common". Doctor was courteous but the issue committing to a scheduled time has left a bad taste in my mouth. 5-20 minutes might be excusable. 45+ is not.

Dr. Kalpaxis was very attentive to my son. He was very patient. He demonstrated to both my son and me how to properly treat my son's eye condition in a way that we do not have to spend more time and money going back and forth for treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Kalpaxis to any of your eye exams or treatments.

I have never experienced going to a small single-doctor office before. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a doctors office. When I called the office the actual doctor answered, how cool is that. I will recommend Dr.Kalpaxis to everyone I know.
Verified patient
He was great! Very kind and had some positive jokes. He took his time with me and made the visit feel very personal. His two office assistants were also very endearing. I am glad I chose this doctor!

Great doctor, very nice, professional, and well educated. One thing I found quaint was that he runs his office off of hard copy documents. The only computer in the place was a "Brother Word Processing Unit" with a floppy disk drive (circa 1991).
Verified patient
A very friendly doctor. I saw him multiple times over a period or 4-5 months and he was always patient and receptive to my concerns. Highly recommended!
My first appointment with Dr. Kalpaxis which was August 11, 2014.. An acquaintance had recommended Dr. K, so I knew what to expect, He is professional and caring.. He has good sense of humor. His examination was very through and I was pleased that he was not rushed and gave me his undivided attention. and answered my questions. His assistant Shaun is professional and helpful..

Dr. Kalpaxis was wonderfully friendly. Instead of instantly sending me to the lobby while I waited for my pupils to dilate, he struck up an awesome conversation with me. When I asked him why so-and-so works the way it does, he explained it to me. All in all, it was a great visit.
