Dr. Lehmann is a board-certified eye surgeon who specializes in cataract, corneal and refractive surgery. He is a graduate of Seguin High School and the University of Texas at Austin (Plan II). After completing his residency and fellowship at the UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2007, he returned to South Texas to join Focal Point Vision. Over the last four years, the Consumers Research Council has named Dr. Lehmann as one of “America’s Top Ophthalmologists.”
Dr. Lehmann’s practice includes medical and surgical ophthalmology, and he manages both common conditions, like cataracts, and rare, complex diseases like corneal dystrophies and ocular surface injuries. He has an interest in complicated anterior segment surgery and has pioneered the use of “The Boston Keratoprosthesis” and “Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty” in San Antonio.
Dr. Lehmann is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Order of St. John, and is an assistant clinical faculty member at the UT Health Science Center.
In addition to clinical research and scientific presentations, Dr. Lehmann performs volunteer clinical and surgical duties at the I Care Clinic at the Haven for Hope.
He also travels abroad several times a year to teach and perform surgery. Over the last two years, Dr. Lehmann has traveled to Huatulco, Mexico with the Episcopal Diocese of Sheridan, Wyoming to perform cataract surgery; he has also visited Peru, where he was a volunteer faculty with ORBIS International, teaching local doctors new techniques in cataract and corneal surgery. Lastly, he has visited Jerusalem four times, carrying corneas to teach and perform corneal transplants.

Dr. Lehmann is an amazing and a wonderful person. He treated me as though I was a part of his family and cared for my eyes since the beginning. I have always been interested in having LASIK Refractive Surgery but I kept putting it off because I hadn't found the right surgeon, until Dr. Lehmann. He made me feel free to express all of my questions and concerns. His intelligent, genuine demeanor is highly respected and I wouldn't trust my vision to anyone else. (& toady I'm seeing better than 20/20 without any correction!:))

Had Lasik Surgery with Dr. Lehmann and am so happy with the results. My vision is 20/20, the entire staff was wonderful. Dr. Lehmann also was very caring even during the procedure he kept asking if I was OK and assuring me everything was going great. Will definitely recomend Focal Point Vision.
