James Srp is an phenomenal practitioner. He is very kind, caring and dedicated in all aspects of his patients care. His top priority is to make sure that everyone that comes before him gets the care that they need. He is a great listener and makes space for you to voice your concerns. James Srp is soft spoken and after being in his presence you will know that you matter. He has a way of making you feel comfortable the minute you enter into the room. This was my second time visit with James Srp and I always feel so much better after my appt. He is amazing and his staff is just as amazing as he is. Very Professional

James Srp has been working in the field of addictions for the past 30 years. He was most recently a nurse practitioner at Addiction Recovery Services of University Hospitals of Cleveland, a program he helped develop in 2004 after an 18 year tenure as a staff nurse, followed by service as a clinical nurse specialist for the Cleveland Clinic Alcohol and Drug Recovery Center. He holds a master's degree in psychology from Cleveland State University, a master's degree in nursing from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Ursuline College. He has held adjunct clinical faculty positions at Kent State University and CWRU Schools of Nursing as well as the CWRU School of Medicine. In addition to having made numerous presentations on addictions and related topics, he has been a clinical preceptor for advanced practice RNs and supervised a clinical experience in addictions treatment for numerous undergraduate nursing students. In 2008, he received the Clinical Services Award from the International Nurses Society on Addiction. In addition to treating adult substance use disorders, he also works with patients who have coexisting mood and personality disorders, and is especially interested in treating clients with concurrent substance use and chronic medical issues.
