Dr. James Stewart was born at Garfield Hospital in Monterey Park, CA on June 8, 1950. He grew up in San Gabriel with four brothers and three sisters. At a very early age Dr. James knew he wanted to be a physician and began his journey by entering the University of Southern California for pre-med. He graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and went on to Graduate School at the University of California, Davis to complete his studies in Behavioral Science. Dr. James soon traveled to Manila, Philippines to attend one of the most prestigious schools of Medicine in Southern Asia, the University of Santo Tomas. Dr. James met his wife Emma, in the Philippines whom he has been happily married to for 31 years. He has three children, two girls and one boy. Dr. James and his brother Dr. John opened Stewart Medical Group in 1980.
