She has always been active and curious about how food played a role in her active lifestyle. In 2007, she worked with the American Heart Association marathon training team and ran her first half marathon, followed by her first full marathon. Since then, she has been passionate about helping people live active, healthy lives. Jamie earned her Bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University and her Master’s in Family and Consumer Sciences from California State University. She loves teaching people how to use food as fuel while also enjoying what they eat. She understands that food represents health but also comfort and joy. Jamie knows that navigating the world of nutrition can be complicated and confusing. She is very good at breaking things down and explaining them in a way that makes sense and empowers people to stick to a program that is doable.
