Over the last fifteen years, I have visited close to ten different dermatologists. Prior to seeing Dr. Weisman, I would have described myself as "somewhat disillusioned" with regards to practitioners in this field. Some were rude, others played guessing games, while still others were only interested in scheduling further appointments and treatments.
Dr. Weisman restored my faith. She is one of the most competent (and confident) medical professionals I have encountered in any field. When I go to see her, I know that I am going to get a straight answer, and an educated one. She somehow manages that difficult balance between bluntness, efficiency, and concern for her patient.
I would recommend her to anyone who has given up hope in finding a good dermatologist. If you are scheduling your first dermatologist appointment, you need not look any further.

Dr. Weisman is a great doctor! She was very informative and personally! Her staff were very welcoming as well I'm glad I found her because she is the only doctor who truly explained what was going with me.

Dr. Weisman grew up in Atlanta, graduated with honors from Riverwood High School and went on to attend Brown University. At Brown, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English literature and graduated magna cum laude with honors. She received a fellowship to study in Cairo, Egypt at the American University in Cairo, and then came home to attend Emory University Medical School. Dr. Weisman stayed at Emory to complete her internship and residency in dermatology. A writer as well as a physician, she is the author of the memoir, As I Live and Breathe: Notes of a patient doctor. She has also published articles or been profiled in Life, Glamour, O magazine, National Public Radio and the New England Journal of Medicine.
Dr. Weisman has participated in numerous clinical trials and has lectured on the treatment of psoriasis. Her areas of interest include not only the treatment of psoriasis but also auto-immune skin diseases, as well as general medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, including Botox®, fillers and laser therapy.

She was very nice. She moved quickly, but thoroughly and nothing felt rushed. She did a wonderful job of explaining why she was not worried about my problem without making me feel like I had wasted my time. (We all know doctors can make us feel stupid some times.) She was reassuring, confident, and kind. I would highly recommend her.

Dr Weisman is a pious, sanctimonious, self righteous blow hard. She berated my son for being a self-pay customer and proceeded to tell him how irresponsible his parents are for not providing health insurance for him. She does not know our family, our financial situation, our beliefs, or our values. She made a teenage boy feel small and shamed. If you want an office to treat you with dignity and respect - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

She was great. She took the time to explain not only the problem I was having, but what the other forms are so I wouldn't get them confused. Then she asked a little about finances (not enough to be nosy) and then based her prescriptions on the cost so it wouldn't cost me so much. It was odd to not have one of those 10 minute in and out appointments! I really appreciated her spending time with me!

There was a discrepancy between the price quoted and the charge on checkout. I would have waited until another visit to do one of the procedures had I been given the correct price originally. Next time I will stop at the charge desk before anyone does anything to me.
