I visited Dr. Loman to get answers to a problem with my eyes, and previous two eye doctors did not address it well.
I was really impressed with Dr. Loman's practice, after checking in, assistant took me to a room and took a vision test and dilated eyes.
Dr. Loman was very confident and she listened to the entire problem description. Her confidence was very assuring and I was happy that I did not have any serious concerns with my eyes.
I would highly recommend Dr. Loman

Very nice doctor and listens to what I needed to say, which is very important to me! She also made sure I understood what was being said before leaving so that me feel she cares about her patients. I would definitely recommend this doctor to others!

Dr. Loman is a Magna Cum Laude honors graduate from the University of Pennsylvania where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Basis of Behavior and a minor in comparative literature. She received her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania and did her residency training at the Tufts - New England Eye Center in Boston, Massachusetts where she received the Preefer Award for research excellence. Dr. Loman completed a glaucoma fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles Jules Stein Eye Institute and specializes in complex glaucoma and cataract surgery with multifocal lenses.
She went on a surgical eye mission in Central America and loves to travel and learn about different cultures. She is currently the department chief of ophthalmology at Summit Medical Center. She teaches ophthalmology residents at Highland General Hospital, and is a consulting physician at the University of California Berkeley, Tang Health Center.

I had an appointment for 9:30 AM and wasn't seen until 11:15. I asked several times what the hold up was and when I would be able to see the doctor. The only response I got was "We're very busy right now, we'll get to you as soon as we can." Completely unsatisfactory and I will not return.

I hate this place so much. They change your appointments, they take forever to see you. They over book so they make everyone wait. I cannot wait to find a new doctor. The doctor is really whatever, no real personality but solid at her job from what I can tell... I'd never recommend them

I thought their office was ungodly hot. The waiting room had a ton of people in it so that was a red flag. It took forever to be seen until I explained that I had my car on a meter and had to be somewhere by 5. I put an hour and a half on my parking meter and made it back to my car luckily before the meter maid came about an hour and 45 minutes later. There is only metered street parking, even though they have a lot and they don't validate parking...
Once I finally got in to see the doctors they were fine.

I ended up seeing Dr. Michael Wang who was excellent. He was clear about what he saw in my eyes and if it was or was not a risk or normal or what.
His team was also great. Each person took time to answer my questions and explain how I could configure my next set of glasses to fit my changing needs and eyes better.
They also actually used the check in information I submitted to them via ZocDoc. All I had to do was sign a printed copy of it. Thank you!

Impressive modern clinic with all the latest equipment. Staff and doctor excellent. Note that glaucoma check can only be done in their Oakland location, not Lafayette.

Very professional and thorough. Loved Dr. Loman and her other staff were very competent, as well.
It did take a lot longer than expected to get through the entire appointment (2 1/4 hours).

Thought they scheduled to many people at one time. Medical doctors do this - I"ve never seen an eye doctor do it. Charged extra for a prescription - very tacky..
