Janet Austen, CRNP-F, graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Newburgh, New York, with her B.S.N. She earned her M.S.N. in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Maryland School of Nursing.
Janet worked as a nurse for 30 years with her B.S.N. Her experience includes serving as Charge Nurse of a Surgical Intensive Care Unit and floating across multiple hospital departments, including medical intensive care, emergency room, pediatrics, orthopedics, kidney transplant unit, cardiac care unit, and medical-surgical units.
She currently works as a Family Nurse Practitioner and has spent the last 17 years practicing in internal medicine, primary care, and urgent care, continually expanding her experience and knowledge. Her clinical interests include diabetes and hypertension. She enjoys helping people.

Dr. Hayford was great. He is personable, kind, and many other great descriptives! I felt like he was a family member! He was professional but very down to earth! I really feel as though he really cares! I just had my follow-up and appreciated that he really tried to address everything and problem-solve through come of my concerns. He is great! I have been searching for a primary care physician. I think I have found one now! I am grateful!
