Dr. Janet Castro was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Florida in 1996. She went to College at Valencia Community College and Memphis State University. She went to Optometry School at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN and graduated in 1989, this is where she met her wonderful husband Tom they were married in 1991 and they have a 10 year old daughter. In 1987 & 1998 she went to Costa Rica as a student volunteer in Optometric Services to Humanity with the Lions Club. 1989 - 1990 she worked at Maitland vision Center in Florida, doing General Optometry, Low vision and contacts. She moved to the Dallas, Texas area in 1990 where she works as a relief optometrist. She is active in the community and also speaks fluent spanish.
