I arrived 10 minutes early, and was ushered into the exam room before I could even begin filling out my paperwork as a new patient. Dr. Leonhardt was very friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. She answered all my questions to my satisfaction. She told me about a sunscreen that's in powder form in a brush that's so easy to apply regularly to your face rather than slathering on lotion. They have a wide variety of supplies available on the 2nd floor. Dr. Leonhardt is the only Dr. on the first floor of the building. Receptionists were very friendly and efficient.

Dr Leonhardt is amazing! She is compassionate and caring in addition to being knowledgable and professional. I didn't feel rushed ( and in past experieces with other Dermatologists from other clinics I did feel very rushed) and I simply felt that I was in excellent hands there.

Dr Leonhardt is a board-certified dermatologist, cosmetic dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon bringing both expertise to and passion for her work and the patient experience. After completing her dermatology training at Cooper University Medical Center/Rutgers in New Jersey in 2004, she then expanded her depth of training with focused fellowship training in Cosmetic Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. This fellowship was dually accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education and by the American College of Mohs Surgery reflecting the highest standards of training in this field. Enjoying the academic setting and contributing to the education of future colleagues, Dr Leonhardt remained at Cooper University as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the division of Procedural Dermatology, training dermatology residents and procedural dermatology/Mohs surgery fellows. She has published articles and textbook chapters on skin cancer reconstruction, liposuction, fillers and chemical peels in addition to participating as a physician co-investigator in FDA Phase III Trials for Dysport (an injectable cosmetic treatment for fine lines). As an expert in her field, she has been asked to review articles for the journal Dermatologic Surgery. Dr Leonhardt transitioned to the Pacific Northwest in June of 2010 and joined Lake Washington Dermatology in January 2015. She is an expert in skin cancer identification and treatment as well as evaluation and comprehensive treatment of the aging face, including treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers, lasers and sclerotherapy. She brings depth of knowledge, expertise, warmth and experience to her patients.

Janie was great. The only frustration was that I filled out my information and paperwork before the appointment online and when I got to the office, the front desk informed me that I had to fill it out again because they do not have access to the online portal. It was incredibly redundant and pointless to fill out twice. This service should not have been offered online if the office was not able to see it.

Dr Leonhardt and support staff were wonderful! The administrative aspect of the clinic could use some polishing (e.g., redundancy of online and in-office paperwork, inter-office staff communication), however the things that are important (professionalism, kindness, competence) were top notch.

The office was short staffed that day so the doctor took it upon herself to begin the consultation immediately so I wouldn't have to wait for the nurse to attend to me. That was very helpful and her flexibility was greatly appreciated.

The wait time was longer than I wished, but once I was in the room, I was seen very quickly by Dr. Leonhardt. I get anxiety when seeing new doctors and I haven't found a dermatologist that I have felt comfortable with in a very long time, so I genuinely appreciate Dr. Leonhardt being very thoughtful, easy to talk to, and kind during the appointment. I only saw her for an annual mole check, but it was a great experience and I left the office booking my next annual appointment, which speaks volumes.
