Dr. Janine D. Miller is a Board Certified Cosmetic and General Dermatologist who specialty trained at Harvard Medical. Dr. Miller is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and Society of Investigative Dermatology. Dr. Miller specializes in general adult and pediatric dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and laser therapy.
Dr. Miller is fellowship trained in lasers and her expertise covers noninvasive skin rejuvenation techniques, including but not limited to: injectable fillers, Botox and Dysport, chemical peels, laser procedures, (including skin resurfacing and tightening, treatment of wrinkles and broken blood vessels, pigmented lesions, tattoos, and scars), mole and lesion removal, acne, eczema, skin cancer screenings, and general skin care. Dr. Miller believes in a natural and healthy approach to beauty, one in which no one will know that you had any “work done”.
After a pediatrics internship at the State University of New York, she completed her advanced three-year Dermatology residency training at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Miller has also completed specialty fellowship training in Photobiology and Photomedicine (laser therapy) at Case Western Reserve University and dermatology fellowship training at Harvard University.

Not good at all. Show my problem and telling her I am allergic to latex and contact. Give me a band-aid that makes my problem much even worse. Now my incision cut is bleeding and hurt more. And I am almost healed at the time that I saw her. But now the cut will take another month to heal.

She had just returned from being at her other office and had a lot of drop in clients unexpectedly come in. I waited a long time but i was worth it , she took the time to take care of my issue that day so i didn't have to come back later. I highly recommend her i would just book appointments in the morning next time .

Dr. Miller was very nice and personable. She was very knowledgeable and gave the best dermatologic care I've received in years. My previous Dr always rushed me in and out but not here. I always had concerns about my moles and I felt like Dr Miller definitely gave me the attention I was seeking in this area.
I did have to wait 45 minutes before being seen but that was because there was a child patient before me who required a little more care and attention to complete a procedure. Everyone in the waiting room could hear him crying. But once it was MY time, she gave me ample time and was very apologetic.

Sitting here right now in the waiting room. I got here early at 6:15, for a 6:30 appointment. It is now 7:06 and they are saying she will need another 20 minutes until she can see me. I'll be here waiting for my appointment for over an hour. I like zocdoc but this is awful. If I was a doctor I would be respectful of my patient's time. The ladies at the front desk were kind and offered to make me an appointment with another doctor tomorrow however, I shouldn't have to come back tomorrow. I made my appointment for today and I should be seen at or around the time of my appointment. Zocdoc please help!

Dr. Janine Miller has a great sense of humor and she made me laugh over my reluctance to have tissue extracted from moles in visible places, asking if I was starting a career in modeling.
She is very knowledgeable and prescribed more effective treatment than I received previously from other dermatologists, including the two previous ones I had in Manhattan.
Regarding the wait time, I am counting the wait until I was actually seen by the doctor, not the time I was in the waiting room. Like most doctors offices, this place retrieved me from the waiting room in under 15 minutes, but I sat undressed in a paper gown in the patient room for another long duration.
The only thing I did not like is that both the medical assistant and the doctor freely swung open the door as they came and went while I was clearly naked and visible to any passersby or staff in the hallway. It would be better if the examination table was against the wall where the door is hinged rather than directly across from the open doorway.

Where do I even start. When she walked in she looked at my skin (I have acne but its not TERRIBLE) she literally told me it's too late and that I will definitely have scarring unless I get at least 4 treatments of laser. She was trying to ask about my financial situation in order to schedule it.
Then she started poking at my pimples with a needle and I had to stop her after the first one to even ask what she was doing. She told me she was draining them. I let her continue and then she told her assistant to get a syringe and her assistant shoved an ipad in my face to sign a form allowing them to inject me before even telling me what it was she was injecting into my face. When I asked her, her response was "oh sorry everyone does this so I just thought you would know already". I literally just told you I had never been to a derm before...
She then proceeded to prescribe me pills, 2 creams, a facewash - none of which I got (I don't even know the names of any of them) because she made me feel like all she was trying to do was drive up the amount she could bill me for. I felt SUPER pressured into getting the injections and afterwards I immediately regretted getting them. I should have been given more information before I got them. However she scared me into getting them because I thought my face was going to scar even worse if I didn't get them. GO TO SOMEONE ELSE.

I cannot say impart enough niceties about Dr. Miller.
She has a great sense of humor, uber professional and helped me with multiple skin issues in a single visit. Her no nonsense, no hassle consultation on all skin treatment options up to and including Botox and laser treatments was over and above. I have rosacea which can be quite embarrassing and Dr. Miller exhibited a tremendously empathetic bedside manner and a towering confidence to help me.
Plus she's young, hip and has a penchant for Alaska. Fascinating person, I will be returning! A+++

The Hoboken office is very clean and quiet. Dermatologists products aren't on display, but there was a nice brochure (NYSkin) there with recommendations for products.
Dr. Miller has a relaxed bedside manner. I didn't feel pressured to have any cosmetic procedures, which is unusual these days. So far, so good!
