I must say Dr. Cohen is one of the kindest doctors I have met, and as well one of the kindest persons overall I have ever met!! There is an instant sense of realness and authenticity you get when you meet him. Immediately when I started telling him my history, I felt at ease and comfortable with him with no judgement and not rushed. He is current and on top of all the most recent medical care. You can tell 100% he is genuine and true. He is upfront and honest and I respect him so much for those traits.
He treats you not only as a patient, but as a person that deserves to maintain their dignity. I always feel he has my best interest at heart through his reassurance and compassion. One of the best things Dr. Cohen does is explains things to me clearly about my illness and medications where it makes sense to me. He has such an even mix of a friendly and warm demeanor with a strong sense of professionalism that I actually look forward to my sessions. There is no doubt that having him as my doctor has improved my quality of life to help me reach my personal goals and accomplishments and I highly recommend him to help you. My loved ones, and me, are so glad to have my old self back. Thanks Dr. Cohen so much!

Dr. Cohen is a board certified psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry. He has 6 years of experience in the treatment of mental illness. Dr. Cohen has previous experience providing psychiatric care for the Hanley Center in West Palm Beach, FL. He also has experience in working in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings at various levels of care.
Dr. Cohen earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He then completed both Internship and General Psychiatry Residency at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami, FL.
Our practice does NOT and will not prescribe such medications as Adderall, Ritalin, Focalin as well as benzodiazapines such as Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan or Valium. If you have specific questions on your medication and dosages, we ask you to speak to a receptionist before an appointment is booked.

Abandoned patient following a suicide attempt. Provided nothing other than a sheet of paper with three doctors listed, all of which were not taking new patients, and one months supply of medications his patient was dependent on which doesn't help much when it takes 60 days to get an appointment in the area.
The office itself is terrible. They don't even answer the phone when you're trying to schedule an appointment and they rarely return calls. If you have any choice at all, avoid this doctor and anyone else working in that office entirely.

He took his time to listen to me and didnt treat me like another number. He also has outstanding bedside manner. I appreciated that he is conservative with medications and rather then just try and cover up my problems with medications he trys to find the route of them before he prescribes anything. I called and left a message because I had questions for him and he called me back same day. I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Cohen was incredibly professional, really listened and made me feel like he had sincere interest in helping me find the best treatment possible. He was understanding, kind and made me feel very safe and comfortable. He put together my treatment plan in my very first visit and I am hopeful that this treatment will truly help me. I would highly recommend Dr. Cohen to anyone seeking mental health treatment.
