The interaction with the doctor and staff was just fine...What was not good was that the ZocDoc system did not send the paperwork I filled out online...so I had to do it all over again (the REASON I filled it out ahead of time was to avoid that), the additional problem being that all the numbers and information that I looked up at home in order to fill out the form online were not available to me in the doctor's office. Very frustrating. I would suggest that you take the online form off your website until the technology is available to send it to each doctor's office.

It went great! I had seen him before for the same thing on the other hand so he was familiar with me and I with him. I think he
is a very confident, competent hand surgeon. I would gladly seen
him again for any hand issues.

Dr. Rovak is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a fellowship and board certification in hand and microvascular surgery. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1998 with honors and highest distinction. He went on to medical school at Duke University. During this time he won numerous awards for research in peripheral nerve surgery, including a prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellowship. Dr. Rovak completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis MO, followed by a hand and microvascular surgery fellowship at the Curtis National Hand Center / Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. Dr. Rovak joined Hand Surgery Associates in 2008 and is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand as well as a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Rovak is an avid blues/jazz piano and guitar player with a particular interest in caring for musicians.

Dr. Rovak came recommended to me by 2 family members. Their diagnoses required surgeries but mine did not. It was a relatively easy procedure. Dr. Rovak & the nurses were understanding & very attentive when I almost passed out. :-) They said it happens all the time.
