Dr. Jay N. Chapman is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing in Clark County for more than 20 years. Dr. Chapman continually advances his comprehensive training in order to offer his patients the most advanced options available. His specialties include pediatric ophthalmology, as well as highly-technical cataract and glaucoma procedures.
Dr. Chapman is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Washington Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He has been the past president of Vancouver Eye Care and served as the Ophthalmology Section Chair for Southwest Washington Medical Center (now PeaceHealth Medical Center).
Dr. Chapman graduated sigma cum laude with an undergraduate degree from the University of Akron. He then received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. While there, he completed many of the requirements for a pediatric residency before focusing his attention on becoming an ophthalmologist. He then relocated to the University of Rochester in New York where he completed his ophthalmology residency.
In his free time, Dr. Chapman enjoys a wide range of activities including traveling, wine tasting, going to the theater, playing tennis and staying in shape at a local gym.
