He completed a residency in internal medicine at Washington Hospital Center. He also finished a fellowship in cardiology at Drexel University.
Dr. Shechter is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Shechter’s clinical interests include preventive cardiology, congestive heart failure, cardiac catheterizations, coronary angioplasties, and non-invasive cardiology.
