Greetings! Although I am new to Zocdoc, I am not new to psychiatry. I have over 30 years of experience in the field, providing both psychotherapy and medication management. Currently, I focus exclusively on medication management for adults aged 18 to 65. As you can see, I treat a wide variety of disorders, including anxiety, depression, panic, PMS, sleep disorders, and ADHD. I do not treat clients with PTSD or substance abuse issues.
I take a compassionate approach to understand my clients’ distress and conduct a complete evaluation to ensure we don’t miss any underlying medical issues. My visits are 100% virtual, and I maintain close contact with my clients through email to address side effects and other concerns. I encourage my patients to engage in ongoing psychotherapy, as medication alone will not resolve all issues. I generally have great rapport with my clients, as reflected in my Google reviews.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. I accept cash, Cigna, and CareFirst (BCBS). I look forward to speaking with you soon.

I was very impressed by Dr. Serafin's kindness and knowledge and am extremely thankful for how much she has helped me and how far I have come thanks to her. I was initially very nervous and hesitant to contact a psychiatrist to help me with my issues but her warmth put me at ease and I am so grateful for her willingness to help, even with issues I initially didn't recognize in myself
