I really liked her "bed side manner". She spent a great deal of time with me. Much more than other doctors. Unfortunately I haven't heard back from her in the time frame she said I would. But the lab work may be backed up. Hopefully I will here from her soon.

The office is bright and clean and the women at the front desk who check you in and out are lovely and friendly and helpful. The nurse who took all my information was really nice and helpful. Dr. Shiffman is wonderful, she listens carefully and responds thoughtfully to questions, she asks pertinent questions. She's very pleasant. I feel like I can talk to her about anything. She always puts my mind at ease. Everyone is very efficient and knowledgeable, but also courteous. I am extremely satisfied with the care I get from this office.

Her diagnosis and treatment plan was very well thought out and seemed appropriate. If it were not far from where I live in Maryland, I would have no qualms about transferring all my health care needs to Steinmetz and Dr. Shiffman.

Dr. Shiffman is hands down the best doctor I have ever seen. She is there to have a conversation and be a partner in your health. She isn't condescending and listens to your needs and concerns as a patient. Her knowledge of alternative treatments is a perfect compliment to her conventional knowledge and experience. If you are looking for a doc to give you the best of both worlds, AND treat you as a whole person, rather than a body part, you will not be disappointed with Dr. Shiffman's care. She is fantastic!

This was my initial visit with Dr. Shiffman, and I found her to be professional, personal, knowledgeable, attentive, and witty. She listened and gave responses to questions/comments that I asked versus providing answers that were scripted or knee jerk. I am very optimistic about working with Dr. Shiffman. I could tell that she has experience dealing with patients whose issues are similar to my own, and I was comforted by that and by several intuitive responses she gave which confirmed some of my own research. I am hopeful that my health will improve under her care and I look forward to partnering with her.

Dr. Shiffman is terrific. And the nurses/techs Leah and Nina are nice. I'm not thrilled with the staff at the front desk, and I haven't been for some time. First, it seems like it's become a revolving door situation. There seems to be new staff at the front desk during each visit. Second, that staff is simply unpleasant. During my last visit, in December of 2015, there were two women at the desk. Unfortunately I didn't get their names. One, who sits next to wall, was ok. The other, who sits near the door that leads to the examining rooms, is rude.

My experience from start to finish was excellent. Entire staff from the receptionist, nursing staff, nutrionist, lab tech to Dr. Shiffman were highly professional. I did not feel rushed during my appointment. I felt as if Dr. Shiffman took the time to get to know me as a whole person not just a number. I would highly recommend this practice especially Dr. Shiffman.

Been using this practice since 2004 and I highly recommend them. The doctors (I've seen several through the years) are very caring, attentive, and offer a combination between alternative therapies and heavy duty drugs when the need arises. Never have a problem being seen when I really needed it.
