I decided at the age of 8 that I would become a physician because I learned early on that the lack of healthcare providers has detrimental effects on the well-being of a community. I wanted to help my community, and a career in medicine was my solution.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Saint Francis College, completed my internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hackensack University Medical Center, and finished my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint John's Episcopal Hospital. I also hold a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
I love that my specialty allows me to build lasting relationships with my patients and provide continuity of care. I get to care for my patients during significant stages in their lives-from birth to the reproductive years to menopause. It is a unique field in that sense. I enjoy advocating for my patients and appreciate the versatility and complexity of the specialty.
I connect with my patients primarily by listening attentively to their needs, concerns, and remarks. Through listening, I identify shared experiences and create a safe, welcoming environment to provide individualized care. I believe empathy is a form of human connection, which is why I use this quality to connect with my patients.
Outside of the office, I enjoy creating recipes and cooking, traveling and exploring different cultures and cuisines, strength training, and dancing.
My advice for patients is simple: when something feels wrong, trust your instincts and get it checked out.

She is very professional and has excellent bedside manor however, i wasn't to fond of the long check-in line, the fact that someone would jump the line and the front desk staff would entertain it although there is a process in place to move people along.

Doctor Nuamah listened to what my concerns were and addresses every one and came up with solutions. She was very kind, caring and friendly! She explained every step of the exam process and maid me feel very comfortable! I would definitely recommend her to to any woman who is looking for a doctor with an excellent bedside manner!
