Dr. DeMercurio is a plastic surgeon with advanced training and expertise in body, facial, and breast surgery. He graduated from Miami University with honors and went on to receive his master’s degree and Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University. During this time, Dr. DeMercurio performed in one of the nation’s most active trauma centers, Detroit Medical Center, and completed a comprehensive five-year general surgery residency. He pursued and completed advanced training through the Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Detroit Medical Center and further refined his surgical techniques in the prestigious Hand Surgery/Microsurgery Fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine.Dr. DeMercurio is a member of both the American Medical Society and the Volusia County Medical Society. He is also a candidate for membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He has delivered numerous presentations among his colleagues relating to breast reconstruction and augmentation, body contouring after weight loss and both surgical and non-surgical rejuvenation of the face. He performs these procedures and more, including arm reductions, brow lifts, eyelid surgery, laser resurfacing, and rhinoplasty.
