Turns out that the appointment times offered through ZocDoc at the location in question were with another clinician under Dr. Bugg's supervision rather than with Dr. Bugg herself. The other clinician ended up being great, but the fact of the switch-up was quite an unpleasant surprise.

Dr. Bugg is a seasoned mental health professional with more than 20 years experience in the mental health field. Dr. Bugg works with a wide range of patients but her particular focus is on helping clients deal with challenges induced by major life changes, stress related disorders, trauma including psychological trauma auch as abuse, assault, death of a loved one, as well as physical trauma. She is particularly interested in anxiety disorders, depression, and recovery from traumatic life experiences.
In working with chronic pain patients, Dr. Bugg takes a holistic approach centered on the mind-body connection. Her “Pain-Strain-Drain-Brain” treatment model considers internal as well as external and physiological factors and provides clients with the tools necessary to understand how thinking, feeling, external stress, sleep, and lifestyle may impact pain, and medical care.
Dr. Bugg also works as Clinical Neuropsychologist, and conducts evaluations and treatment with difficulties such as brain injury, attention deficit disorder, learning disorder, stroke, Parkinson´s, Alzheimer´s, diabetes, seizure disorder, and multiple sclerosis. Her focus is on thorough evaluation, education, and developing community supports and resources for treatment.
She has a son and in her spare time is a writer, actress, and singer.
Dr. Bugg received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Colorado, and received her Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Denver, where she specialized in Neuropsychology and Forensic Trauma. Dr. Bugg went on to complete her Doctoral Internship, approved by the American Psychological Association, and Neuropsychology Division of the APA, at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where she specialized in Neuropsychology.
