Dr. Christensen joined Schoolhouse Pediatrics in February 2013 after practicing as a Pediatrician in Huntington Beach, California for 5 years. She completed medical school at the University of California, Irvine and followed her passion for treating children by completing a three year pediatrics residency training program at UC Irvine as well.
In California, Dr. Christensen was an active staff member of two local hospitals. She also participated in clinical research trials and worked in urgent care with Kaiser Permanente in addition to her work with a busy Pediatric office. Dr. Christensen is Board Certified with the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the local AAP chapter.
Dr. Christensen grew up in the Pacific Islands of Tonga and American Samoa and speaks the Tongan language (a Polynesian dialect). Dr. Christensen came to the U.S. mainland after graduating from high school. She is married and has two children and now loves living in Austin. She is very actively involved with sports and music with her children and enjoys hiking and cooking.
Dr. Christensen finds it a pleasure and an honor to care for children from newborn to adolescences.

It was a good visit, however Dr. Christensen and the nurse forgot to do a screening on my two week old and we had to come back. That was inconvenient.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Great doctors, great nurse. Everybody is so friendly! Finally we found the best place to bring our kids. =) Dr. Christensen is very helpful with everything.
