Jennifer was fortunate to grow up living next door to her Aunt Margaret, who could cook and bake like none other. The impression Aunt Margaret made on Jennifer was the spark that started a love of nutrition and health. As Jennifer read more and more about food and nutrition, she began to appreciate the philosophy of food as medicine and its connection between health and chronic disease prevention and management.
Jennifer has been a dietitian for almost 15 years and has helped clients of all ages and disease conditions. She has grown to love working with the pediatric population. She believes this age group is most impressionable when it comes to making behavior changes that can lead to a healthy relationship with food and a lifetime of optimal health and wellness. Jennifer’s mission is to provide a personalized approach to motivate, empower, and give her clients the tools they need to achieve their goals.
Jennifer’s training in medical nutrition therapy and focus on pediatric nutrition can help to support clients with a variety of conditions including gastrointestinal and digestive issues (constipation, diarrhea, short bowel syndrome, Crohn's Disease, ulcerative colitis, IBS, food allergies and intolerance), picky eating, weight management, neonatal/infant nutrition, cardiovascular disease prevention and management, enteral nutrition (tube feeding), and parenteral (IV) nutrition. Jennifer also enjoys counseling prenatal, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. She believes that it’s important for a mom to feel healthy so she can give her all when taking care of her family.
Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh.
