Dr. Jennifer R. Wong received her undergraduate degree in Biology at Iowa State University and continued to Indiana University in Bloomington, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry. She remained at the university following graduation to become a member of the faculty. During this time, she completed industry and government-sponsored research on the latest innovations and changes made to contact lenses, with multifocal contact lenses being her major focus. Dr. Wong also acted as a proctor for students in the eye clinic and taught classes about contact lenses. Throughout her time at Indiana University, she took part in research studies that were published in medical journals and presented at national conferences.
Dr. Wong then moved to Chicago to join a multi-specialty eye care practice, working alongside the doctors who helped develop laser vision correction. Here, she specialized in fitting patients with custom contact lenses, including multi-focal lenses, as well as treating corneal diseases, such as keratoconus, corneal dystrophy, and corneal ectasia. Over the course of her career, Dr. Wong has become experienced in fitting gas permeable, scleral, and other types of specialty contact lenses. She also fits cosmetic and prosthetic lenses for disfigured eyes.

My visi with her went well, but she seemed a bit rushed, so I couldn't get all my questions answered. Was out in 15 minutes. I had another question about bifocals. I think you should set aside 20 minutes for appointment.
In general, EDOW feels like the mall for eye care, different optometrists at my annual check up. The personal touch and bedside manner is a bit lacking. No one invested in my eye care from a general standpoint. Even Dr. Vicente, who provides care for my kid, has his tech calling me back?!! If you're too busy, then you need to rethink your business model.

Dr. Wong seemed hurried and a bit curt, possibly because it was an appointment late in the day. I felt like she was pushing me out the door without actually trying to solve the root cause of my vision issues. I've seen better people at the EDOW, but she's the only one who does contact lenses for them now.

Dr. Wong's assistant mixes up efficiency with plain rudness. He asked questions hastily and didn't listen to answers, he was passive-aggressive when I tried to make conversation, and he never washed his hands before touching my eye. I asked about a drop he wanted to install in my eyes and he dismissed it as if I wouldn't understand. I felt attacked during all the exams (Dr. Wong saw me for 5 minutes after a long session with him just to confirm diagnosis). I will never return to that clinic again.

Dr. Wong is very good. The exam room is extremely cold. The technician Jonathan was also very good. The wait time was a little long. The check-in procedure with kiosk is quite a challenge.
