I made a last minute booking through Zocdoc. I went to the office and they were trying to explain to me that even though I made the appointment it was not confirmed. I then heard the receptionist talk to Dr. Rouse and he said in a loud and agitated voice "How can anyone expect to make a last minute appointment". At that point, I got up and asked the receptionist if I should leave and she said no. I stayed.
I got to see the Dr. and he was clearly agitated. He was on edge and he made me feel very uncomfortable. As we were talking I remembered a surgery that I had 8 years ago that I forgot to put on the intake sheet. He rolled his eyes and sighed heavily, unfortunately this manner was typical of the entire event.
I am 47 and have been to plenty of doctors and have never been as uncomfortable as I was with Dr. Rouse. He was miffed at the Zocdoc situation and he took it out on me. I would never return to Dr. Rouse for any reason.
