Jerry Tsao is a warm family physician serving patients and their families in Houston, TX. He received his medical education from the University of Texas Health Center at San Antonio, and then completed his residency in family practice and community services at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. Tsao is affiliated with the Memorial Hermann Southwest University. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine to practice both family medicine and geriatric medicine. I came into the office with with a viral infection. The doctor mildly diagnosed it with a brief antibiotic treatment, refused to fix the prescription when the symptoms worsened, and insisted that I paid an addition co pay to be re-seen.

The doctor was okay, but he has the worst clinic staff and a horrible front desk. Very unprofessional and extremely rude attitude. Did not tell you to fasting prior your physical exam, did not greet when you walk in, all they ever said was "insurance and ID"... I will never go back, there are plenty of high rated doc, might as well save some time.

we had to wait about 30-45 mins before the dr was able to see us. expected, he is a family physican. dr tsao was very informative and let us know every step of the way his thoughts on what he was examining and what he was prescibing, and giving us different opinions. did let me know that he wasn't sure if his diagnosis was spot on and we would have to wait a few weeks for the results to see if the meds work or not. i do appreciate the honesty in letting us know that he wasn't completely 100% sure about his decision. he got the little girl who was so nervous during the visit, laughing and smiling at the end! what a feat. his staff, on the other hand, needs training. they were very carefree in my opinion. needs better staff. dr himself is great.
