Dr. Olander was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended The Ohio State University for her undergraduate studies, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She continued at Ohio State for medical school. She was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and graduated Manga Cum Laude. Following medical school, she moved to Denver to complete her residency in dermatology and fellowship in Mohs Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the University of Colorado. She has co-authored numerous scholarly papers and is an active member in the American College of Mohs Surgeons (ACMS).
Dr. Olander practices surgical, general, and cosmetic dermatology. She is passionate about treating skin cancer and all disorders of the skin. She has extensive training in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, Mohs surgery, and facial reconstruction.
Outside of work, Dr. Olander loves spending time outdoors with her husband, daughter, and their dog. Their favorite activities include hiking and skiing.

She was the first dermatologist I’ve ever seen. I was nervous to go in, but Dr. Olander and the rest of the staff were very warm and welcoming. My appointment managed to be somewhat relaxing even though I had a mole removed.

I have been struggling with non-severe hormonal acne around my chin and jawline for some time now. In the past, other dermatologists have just tried prescribing me oral antibiotics which I am not a fan of.. I saw Dr. Olander for the first time this week after she was highly recommended by several of my good friends! Everyone in the office was extremely kind and helpful. Dr. Olander took the time to talk through all of my questions and concerns and reassured me that the acne I was experiencing was extremely common for women my age. She also reassured me that she would never recommend an oral antibiotic as a treatment for this. She wrote out a new skin care plan for me to begin which included affordable, gentle over the counter face washes and moisturizers with some prescriptions. I look forward to see how this treatment works and following up with her for another visit in 4 months.
