Dr. Merino was very kind and patient with my children. Once he realized that dilation was needed, he gave us the option to return on a different day for better timing--he sure knows kids well! We will definately be returning-- for the dilation and for more exams in the future! Thanks for a comfortable experience!

Dr. Merino grew up in Southern California and graduated from Kennedy High School in La Palma. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. As an O.D. candidate, he received many awards including the VSP Independent Practice Scholarship, the Professional Eye Care Associates of America Award, and induction into the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. His extensive training includes clinical rotations at the Naval Hospital in Camp Pendleton, the Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center for Veterans in Downtown Los Angeles, the Optometric Center of Los Angeles, and the Eye Care Center in Fullerton, CA. Dr. Merino strives to improve the quality of life of his patients by providing them with the best possible vision and eye care. For patients who are more comfortable communicating in Spanish, Dr. Merino is a fluent Spanish speaker.

My visit was quick and simple. Arrived, signed necessary paperwork, and was seen imidiatly.
Doctor was professional and still personable. The staff were personable and helpful when it came to picking out a new pair of glasses while staying in my budget. No pushing for an upgrade or trying to pitch accessories and new features for lenses, nice change of pace.

This is second time going to this doctor which is only my second time to see an eye doctor. The office was kinda small and when I say small more than 3 people and you will be like sardines, but putting that aside it was like a demand for my co/pay!!!! Anyway time to find a new eye doctor

This was probably one of the best eye appointments I've ever encountered. As soon as I walked in the receptionist greeted me with a smile. She handled everything properly and answered any questions I had. She made me feel comfortable the whole time, even though I hate when anything touches my eyes (They numb your eyes with drops and touch them with their hi tech pen thingy to make sure your eyes are healthy).
After the pre exam, the doctor gives you the wellness and/or contact exam. He was super patient, and made sure I got the best prescription possible. My prescription for contacts were in the middle of two of the contacts available, so I tried both on to compare, and picked the better of the two. Now I'm walking around looking all cute with my sparkly blues.
All in all, they are amazing and friendly.

We visited Dr. Ramon 2 times till now for my son .First visit was for annual checkup and second one for diagnosis on eye lid injury.
Below are bullets of our experience .
1) Dr. Ramon is wonderful and genuine caring for patients .
2) Very cool and helped my son in answering all questions for diagnosis.Not an easy job dealing with little ones.The credit goes to Dr and the visit was a great experience for my son .
3) We are very glad to find Dr. Ramon and we shall be back for our kids next annaul visits.
