Dr. Matusek earned her master's and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Miami University and her bachelor's degree from Mount Holyoke College. She has done extensive research at the Veterans Health Administration, Harvard Medical School and Washington University's Eating Disorders Laboratory. Her clinical experience includes service as a clinical psychologist at the Cleveland Center for Eating Disorders, where she provided individual, family and group cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to adults and adolescents and supervised doctoral students. She also completed her pre-doctoral internship as a full-time psychology resident at St. Joseph's Healthcare in Hamilton, Ontario, and served as assistant director of the psychology training clinic at Miami University, where she received multiple letters of commendation. She has published and presented internationally on eating disorders and other mental health issues. In addition to eating disorder treatment, her specialty areas of interest are anxiety and mood disorders, women's issues and spiritual concerns.
