Dr. Bergstrom was born in Iowa and moved to Nebraska at the age of 9. She attended the University of Nebraska where she completed college and medical school. She did 4 years of OB-GYN residency at KUMC in Kansas City, KS. In 1986, she moved to Arlington, Texas, to open her practice. Dr. Bergstrom has 3 grown daughters and has been very involved in community and civic organizations in the community, including election to the board of trustees of the AISD. She served as chairman of the OB-GYN department of Arlington Memorial Hospital from 1999-2001. She was the first woman to be elected the chief of staff of Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital in its 54-year history. She is a member of ACOG, AMA, and Texas Medical Association.
