Doctor Rowe was great and polite, she's also was lovely and sweet and very experienced doctor. Its rare to find great and experienced doctor,BUT her staff at the front desk where sooo mean face and looked angry I don't why? but other then her staff that needs to adjust there "attitude" it was great first impression Thanks!

Dr. Jocelyn Rowe is a comforting, careful ophthalmologist treating patients in Arlington Heights, Illinois and the surrounding communities. Her primary goal as a practitioner is to provide competent and compassionate care to each of her patients. Her patients enjoy the calming effect she has on them while they receive treatment. Dr. Rowe is a member of professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
For her undergraduate degree, Dr. Rowe attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She pursued her medical degree at the Creighton University School of Medicine, remaining at the school to complete an internship program after completing her degree. Dr. Rowe received residency training in ophthalmology at the John H. Stroger Hospital and completed a fellowship program at the University of Wisconsin, where she focused on the study of cornea/external disease and uveitis.

This was my first eye exam ever so I did not know what to expect, but my visit was pretty straightforward and the wait was not too bad. Dr. Rowe was friendly and took time to explain things to me during my visit. My only issue and the reason I will not go back is the office's billing practices seem sketchy and what should have been covered under insurance was being billed directly to me because apparently my insurance was no longer accepted at the time of billing (but it was at the time of my appointment). After several weeks of back and forth calling between the office and my insurance company I finally received a corrected bill which still seemed a bit high for an annual check-up. If I was rating Dr. Rowe alone I would give 4 stars and if I was to rate the office alone I would give 2 stars, so I'll split the difference and give my experience in general 3 stars.

DR. Rowe is a very kind and professional physician, but one thing to be aware of is that if you have a Friday appt., you could have to wait. This was my second visit, and it was for a follow up appt. Dr. Rowe sees patients at another location on Friday mornings, and I was her first appt. at Lincoln Eye Center in the afternoon. When I arrived, I was told that she may be up to one hour late for the appt. as she was coming from the other location and caught in traffic. That can certainly happen to anyone. Thankfully I was not in a hurry. I was already sitting in the exam room, and she ended up being only about 1/2 hour late. She was very apologetic. I also saw her colleague Dr. Mezbur a week later at Lincoln Eye Center as I wear contacts, and Dr. Rowe does not handle contacts. DR. Mezbur was very kind and professional as well. Overall I had a good experience, but once again just be aware of possible wait times just because she is not in the Lincoln office on Fridays all day.

I had no issues at my appointment. Service was relatively quick, and everyone was pleasant. However, one man who was sitting in the waiting area with me said he had been waiting for an hour and 1/2. That's pretty crazy.

This was my first visit to an opthamologist for a general eye exam. The waiting area and treatment rooms were comfortable, and the reception staff was welcoming. The exam technicians and Dr. Rowe were courteous, polite, and professional.

I saw Dr. Rowe for an eye injury and was rather disappointed with my visit. I waited for 1/2 hour to be taken into an exam room, then another 2 hours before Dr. Rowe saw me. She had to re-dilate my pupils by the time the exam started. She was nice, friendly and calming, though seemed to be in a hurry. I was given a prescription for steroid drops, which she was confident would fix my problem, and told to come back in a week. I dislike when doctors do this. They should tell you to come back only if you're still having problems. The drops did the trick, so I didn't go for a follow-up.
