Dr. Baker received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. He then performed his residency in neurology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Baker chose to specialize in neurology for several reasons, but one is because several of his family members suffered with neurodegenerative conditions, including an uncle and grandfather with Lou Gehrig's disease or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Dr. Baker is a native of Lancaster, and has spent most of his life in the Piedmont, Sand Hills and Midlands areas of South Carolina. He understands the needs of his neighbors in the Columbia, Camden, and Sumter areas and is ready to help those suffering from a wide variety of neurological symptoms, from neck pain to seizures. Dr. Baker is excited to join Colonial Family Practice and looks forward to bringing his expertise to the patients he serves.

Dr Baker is one if the best doctors I've ever been to. He is brilliant and will think 'outside the box' when it come to treatment options. He never just lazily just 'writes a script' - you can tell he really cares about you as a patient and wants to weigh out all the options- before he decides what he thinks will work best for you. ??Amazing Dr!!!!??

I like Dr. Baker very much. He talked to me and explained what he saw as he examined me and was also willing to do an MRI to rule out anything else that might be causing my head tremor. It's only my first visit but I was very impressed.
