John Stamps is a licensed acupuncturist and dedicated practitioner Chinese medicine with more than 20 years of experience. He holds a master's degree in acupuncture from the San Francisco College of Acupuncture, and practices Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which combines acupuncture and herbal medicine.
But John is much more than that. He is a gifted healer who understands the importance of treating not just patients, but whole people. In fact, it was a 1973 demonstration by the
renowned Ramamurti S. Mishra, M.D., that inspired John to dedicate his life to acupuncture. During that demonstration, John witnessed firsthand the power, simplicity and compassionate spirit of acupuncture. He became a devoted student of Dr. Mishra, learning five-element acupuncture, while in clinic assisting with acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, massage, and yoga therapy.
John practiced in California before moving to Pennsylvania, opening Bryn Mawr Acupuncture in 1992 to share this powerful form of healing with a new community. He has since successfully treated many conditions, from stroke to sports injuries to the everyday flu.
Whatever the ailment, John's expertise as an acupuncturist and his natural gifts as a healer have helped countless clients live happier, pain-free lives..
