I am totally impressed! The doctors, nurses and staff are friendly, attentive, and extremely thorough. Very pleasant atmosphere. I am a first time patient, and there is NO reason I would not come back! I didn't' mind the wait, the wait was worth it!

As a gynecologic oncologist, Dr. John Diaz performs surgery for the treatment of cancer and non-cancerous disease of the female reproductive tract including the ovaries, uterus, cervix, and vulva.
Dr. Diaz uses minimally invasive surgery such as laparoscopy and robotic techniques using the da Vinci Surgical System. He performs nearly all of his surgical cases today with this approach. The da Vinci robotic technique is most often used to treat uterine, cervical, and many ovarian cancers. In addition to cancer, Dr. Diaz
uses robotic surgery for the management of non-cancerous aliments such as fibroids and endometriosis. Robotic surgery provides for a faster post-operative recovery. Among the procedures performed on the da Vinci include hysterectomy (removal of the uterus), trachelectomy (removal of the cervix), oophorectomy (removal of the ovaries), and/or lymph node harvesting.
For women with advanced ovarian cancers that are not candidates for robotic surgery, Dr. Diaz performs open abdominal surgery with tumor cytoreduction that includes the removal of all large tumor masses. Tumor cytoreduction requires a systematic and thorough surgical approach as this optimizes the outcome for women with this type of disease.
The surgical management of ovarian cancer has been a specific area of interest for Dr. Diaz over the years, and he has participated in numerous clinical studies focused on improving the outcomes for women with this disease. He understands that facing cancer, or even the possibility of having cancer, is a major challenge in a woman’s life. Together with our team, Dr. Diaz works to provide excellence of surgical technique with an individualized approach to each of his patients.
