John Freitas is a licensed acupuncturist by the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine. He graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) with a master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) in 2001.
John has enjoyed honing and deepening his practice over the years in a spectrum of clinical settings including private and community acupuncture clinics and public health centers. He believes having worked with such a wide array of people across the age spectrum and with widely diverse backgrounds and presentations has trained him to readily tailor effective treatment for all.
From his personal experience receiving acupuncture and incorporating its guiding principles in daily living he appreciates the benefits of traditional Chinese medicine to achieve strong, healthy personal growth and navigate life’s challenges.
John has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Cornell University and completed a dietetic internship at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center.
