West Penn Eye Associates has been delivering comprehensive Optometric and Ophthalmologic care since 1979.
We provide all vision services, including exams, screening, and glasses, as well as the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Our location in the Mellon Pavilion at West Penn Hospital is convenient to all areas of Pittsburgh, with on-street and garage parking available to our patients.
Mission
Our mission is to provide high-level comprehensive eye care to all patients in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner. We give our patients reliable access to genuine, focused, compassionate eye care that promotes lifelong vision health.
History
Our practice has been at West Penn Hospital since 1979, when Dr. Guehl founded our practice. Nancy has been with us since the beginning!
Even back then, Dr. Guehl saw the medical field evolving — away from focused personal care and in the direction of quantity over quality. He created West Penn Eye Associates as a place where doctors know their patients as individuals. We believe that knowing your whole story makes us better prepared to care for the health of your eyes.
