"I know that listening to our patients' individual needs helps me better understand what has to be done to help them maintain good eyesight."
Since December 2002, Dr. Hammersmith has been performing comprehensive eye examinations, including prescribing eyeglasses and diagnosing eye conditions, on a full-time basis for ECVA patients.
A Tonawanda, NY native, Dr. Hammersmith graduated from SUNY Buffalo and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He received his Therapeutic Certification in 1996 and is licensed in the state of New York. A member of the American Optometric Association and the Western New York Optometric Society, Dr. Hammersmith had been on staff at ECVA since 1998.
Dr. Hammersmith resides in East Amherst with his wife, Julie, and their two sons, Jake and Timothy.
