More about Dr. John Kahoun, MD
Dr Kahoun is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School and the LIJ Emergency Medicine Residency Program. He completed two years of graduate work in pharmacology while at the UW and a year of research into spinal cord trauma at the Centre Propara in Montpellier, France. He’s certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and a fellow with the American College of Emergency Physicians. He has trained residents at Maimonides Medical Center and at the Long Island College Hospital, and most recently served as Director of Clinical Operations in the ER at St Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown, NY.
Dr Kahoun is thrilled to be working in Urgent Care in the City. He speaks Spanish and French, and lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son.

He is an urgent care physician, and probably a good one. However, I did not realize that the practice was only urgent care. I sought a PCP.

The doctor was helpful, friendly and answered all my questions. I was particularly impressed with the front desk staff at City MD. Making an appt. was easy on-line, it was easy for me to check to see if my insurance was accepted, and once I showed up for my appt., the process was so smooth and fast. Being an out of towner from Los Angeles - here on business, it was a relief to have such fast and professional attention to my medical emergency. I highly recommend this physician and this location of City MD

Doctor was very abrasive and didn't seem to care. Even my physical therapist was surprised that the doctor didn't reach out to me about scheduling a followup, the Doc only told me "Good luck" and left it at that. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I am inclined to give him 5 stars but seeing as I only saw him once I'll withhold that extra star. The wait wasn't long at all. He was personable and answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel rushed. I would definitely go see him again.

Dr. Kahoun was great. He answered all my questions and never made me feel like I was wasting his time. I'd definitely go back to Dr. Kahoun. And the facility was clean, and seemed state of the art. The staff was super friendly, too, from the front staff to the girl who (painlessly) took my blood.
