Had my first regular eye exam with Dr Lewis. He was informative and helpful about glasses/contact lense options--more so than previous eye doctors I've been to. The front desk staff is also great here.

Dr. Lewis received his Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University in 1996. Following graduation, he performed his hospital-based residency training in New York City. He began his career as an associate in a multi-doctor ophthalmology practice, which specialized in advanced medical cases, and was among the highest volume private LASIK practices in New York. Dr. Lewis continued to live and work in Manhattan for several years before relocating to Portland, where he accepted a position with Pacific University’s Optometry School as a Clinical Professor. He continues teaching at Pacific University and takes pride in his own private practice, Beaumont Vision. Dr. Lewis provides comprehensive eye exams, contact lens evaluations and medical eye care for his patients, including surgical co-management for LASIK.

Dr. Lewis is very professional and very thorough. He offers lots of options, based on sound knowledge and advice, and he takes the time to listen to any concerns & answer all questions. His staff is also very helpful in picking out frames, adjusting frames, billing questions, etc.

Dr Lewis was very thorough with the eye exam and even ran some tests I've never had before. He took the time to explain the tests, the results and answered all of my questions. He was genuinely focused on what my concerns were about my eyes, how we could potentially correct them and tossed in a bit of humor as well.

I think Dr. Lewis was very thorough and answered all of my questions. I had never had an eye exam before, so I had a lot of questions and was a bit nervous. He answered them all and he did not push me to get my eye dilated if I was uncomfortable with that. He was careful to instruct me that people with my shape eye need to do a special test every time before we get our eyes dilated because we are at higher risk for problems that could lead to vision damage. I appreciated his candor.

Dr. Lewis is fantastic and is extremely thorough, just as I had heard. Today I had the most comprehensive eye exam I have ever had and was very impressed by his clinical skills & knowledge and his great bedside (chair-side!) manner. The doctor did a great job of explaining what he was doing and why and is very knowledgable about eye health! I will definitely be going back to see him again.
