The staff was very friendly when I walked in. The wait was short. The nurse was easy to talk to. I felt very relaxed and I felt I would be well taken care of. This is a real doctor's office, you don't feel like you are on an assembly line.

Dr John Manning graduated from the American University of the Caribbean December 1993 and went on to serve as assistant to Dr. Bill Jackson overseeing care for patients at auxiliary sites such as Seven Hawks Wilderness and New Life Lodge. He did his residency at UT-Jackson in 1996.
In 1997 he moved to Nashville to be close to his wife’s family and began residency at Meharry Mecial College. Best known by the senior patients for his compassionate bedside manners and by the youth for making balloons from exam gloves and being funny, Dr. Manning has gained the trust of all ages. At the present time, he serves as medical director for three clinics and several assisted living homes. Dr. Manning shares this "serving" life with his soul mate, Kelly, now retired from the nursing field she supports his activities and shares in his support of many community activities.
Mrs. Manning is often seen at Middle Tennessee Primary Care’s outreach events such as; PVES walking tour teaching CPR, Red Cross blood drive, Mobile Mammography screenings, the Cumberland Ball, Pink Out Pleasant View, various 5k’s, and wherever else she may be needed.
When not working, Dr. Manning can be most often found out with nature; fishing, bird watching, and relaxing.
