My 3yr old son was scared so he was bit of a hassle. They took their time with him, made sure he understood what they were saying, and my son felt alot better. That makes me feel comfortable and because everyone cared about and took their time with my son makes me want to come back..... And i am

The doctor was excellent .I highly recommend him. It was a very thorough examination and he found what others couldn't find. It was a hair follicle in my eye. I walked away from that doctor visit feeling as though I had been thoroughly examined and very satisfied.

Once my eyes were dilated the process went smoothly
Worst doctor / office I have EVER been to.
Verified patient
One of the staff members, with whom I performed several tests, did not explain the test very well. I also expressed concern that I didn't think my eyes were dilated properly, and I was ignored and fed lines about "first timers" and different eyes react differently (which I can understand and respect). I've had them dilated before and I know what that experience was like. Low and behold, leave the office, look in the mirror, and my eyes were DEF not dilated. I left the doctors office with more questions than answers. I saw the doctor for maybe 2 minutes over the course of 1.5 hour visit. Felt like a factory. I'm seeking a second opinion.
He was very professional

He seemed like a person who knew what he was doing which is great... He spent only 30 seconds to look into my eyes and didn't care to ask if i had any questions which was not so great..
I am happy that I was able to get to see Dr. McHenry as new patient in 2 weeks (actually, he was able to see me in 1 week but my schedule did not abllow). And, he wanted me back for follow up next week (unlike other specialist, 6 weeks). This is quite rare for such specialist. It's too early to tell if Dr. McHenry is good. I need time to see if his suggested treatment is working. He did not say much so I am not really sure. The impression on his office and staff is not the best. No fancy decoration and professional appearance as other doctor office. but they seem knowing what they are doing and wait time was not too bad. I will definitely rate him again hopefully my condition is cured.

Dr. McHenry makes me feel like he can see the world through my eyes and he knows how to fix the problem. And that he does! He doesn't waste time with unnecessary information but gets to the point. A very gifted physician! He knows his patients + remembers them!
Our son Antonio started suffering from nosebleeds since he was an infant, then headaches 3 years ago. Then the symptoms worsened to humming and ringing sound in his ears. Much like Tinitis. Then in August of 2011 began vomiting in the mornings. We were constantly going to doctors who would tell us that it was sinus or stress related and would give him medicine to treat that. The ENT we saw even suggested that our son was lying about the ringing sound to get attention! We scheduled an optometrist appt. for Dec.8th to have his eyes dilated and it was revealed that his optic nerves were swollen. She referred us to Dr. McHenry's office, they got Antonio in first thing the following morning on Dec. 9th where we were treated with great compassion, friendliness and professionalism. Dr. McHenry and his staff ran through tests and scheduled an MRI for our son that morning. The MRI revealed a mass on his cerebellum and it was also impeding the flow of fluids in the brain. They told us to take him immediately to Dallas Childrens Medical Center, he was admitted to the hospital later that morning. The mass was surgically removed on December 12, 2011. He was walking 2 days later and back home on Dec. 18th. Our son is doing incredible and is thriving in large part because of the dedication and professionalism of Dr McHenry and his staff. We can not express our gratitude enough for the gift they have given us. Thank you Dr. McHenry!
