Dr. McMahon earned his bachelors degree in Biology/Pre-Med at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. McMahon completed a 3 yr residency at Bon Secours New Jersey Health System in Hudson County, NJ. Some of the most accomplished podiatric and orthopedic physicians in the region, including a fellowship-trained foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon, and the team podiatrist for the New Jersey Nets and the New York Giants actively participated in the doctor's training.
After residency Dr. McMahon worked as an associate, for two years, at a high volume multi-office practice in central New Jersey. There, Dr. McMahon honed his clinical and surgical skills before deciding to open his own practice in rapidly-expanding Chesterfield County, Virginia.
Adult & Child Foot & Ankle Care opened just off Hull Street Road in August 2004. The practice has grown rapidly and is focused on Dr. McMahon's areas of clinical expertise: sports related injuries for all ages, overuse injuries that occur "on the job" and reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery. In January of 2013 Dr. McMahon opened his second location on Rte 60 in Powhatan, VA.

Irritated. Was informed that I would receive a prescription. Got to car, realized didn't have it; returned to office; informed that the doctor would electronically send to pharmacy, give him 20 minutes. I ran errands, went to pharmacy 45 minutes later - nothing on file. Pharmacy tried calling / paging - waited another 30 minutes; no response.

The office staff was very friendly and where knowledgable of front office practices. I did not have to wait a long time to be seen. I pre registered through ZocDoc and the receptionist had my papers ready for me to sign as soon as I sign in. The doctor was awesome. He explained to me in simplistic terminology what was going on with my feet and I was able to schedule my procedure on the same day. I am very pleased with the service I received. He was even be to recommend a PCP in the area that shared some of my commonality.
