Dr. Mitchell is exceptional and very thorough. He is the best specialist in New York and in the country. Dr. Mitchell took the time to explain all the procedures and tests required for my eyes as well as follow up visits. His staff is extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind. I was a bit nervous and Olivia calmed me down explaining and walking me through the process and reasons for the different drops, tests and pictures for my eyes. His office is clean and spacious with the latest high tech instruments. There is lovely art and beautiful music in the waiting area to help put you in a relaxed mood.

Although I did have a bit of a long wait in the waiting room, I didn't mind. The music was nice (aside from a couple of Christmas songs that seemed a bit out of place!) and there was some beautiful Haitian art. Dr. Mitchell himself came out to apologize for the wait. He was very personable and kind throughout the whole process, as were all of the other people I spoke to or interacted with. Great experience! I hope I can keep coming back.
Verified patient
He was a wonderful doctor and explained everything in detail so that I could understand my condition. Best doctor I’ve seen in years.

Dr. Mitchell is kind, personable and scholarly. He encouraged discussion and provided a realistic resolve for my eye infection. In addition, his appreciation for fine art, jazz, and theatre was a pleasant surprise and made for excellent dialogue during my visit.

It was a wonderful warm welcoming once I'd enter the office, the staff is very professional and courteous. Dr. Mitchell provide a diagnosis of my eye and told me how I should treat and gave me the meds to do so.. The Art and music is enough to make you want to come back. I will been seeing the eye office again next week, no pun intended.. J. Croft

Mitchell is really a nice doctor and knows what he is doing. He listen to my concern and understood what whas happening to me. I really like this doctor. Even thoughr he doesnt prescribe glasses i still wouldn mind going to see him.
Verified patient
Dr. Mitchell was absolutely wonderful. We talked about a lot of interesting things, and he's really fascinating because he does quite a bit outside of practicing opthalmology. He was gracious and welcoming. I just wish I would've known that he does NOT provide prescriptions for eyeglasses and contacts! He's not that type of eye doctor. He literally examines how healthy your eyes are and provides treatment for eye problems, but you cannot get glasses and/or contacts from him.
Verified patient
Excellent. Was seen quickly. Everyone in the office was wonderful & the doctor was thorough explaining everything in great detail. I received excellent F/U instructions & was told to call if anything changed immediately.
I thought he seemed to be very on top of the game. The one thing I would have liked to know is that he doesn't give prescriptions for glasses.
