Dr. John Roche graduated from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Biology. He received his medical degree from the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and was also the President of the Student Institute. He trained as an Otolaryngologist- Head & Neck Surgeon at the University of California – Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
Backed with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Roche is renowned for his dedication and commitment. Dr. Roche was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School and was part of the Best Practices Committee at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA. He was also the Chairman at the department of otolaryngology at the Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters for two years and participates yearly in cleft lip and palate volunteer surgical mission in the Philippines with Faces of Tomorrow.

Dr Roche was absolutely wonderful as was his assistant and the office manager. From beginning to end, my visit was lovely. The doctor and his staff listened to my concerns and treated me with care and respect. His diagnosis and treatment plan were explained incredibly well. I feel so much better already!

For years I have been suffering from Chronic ear infections and I have been unable to find the root cause of the issue. I've been to several doctors and ENTs in the monmouth county area and they all had the same answer. Most doctors would take a quick peak, ignore what I told them about chronic ear infections and throw antibiotics at the problem. For the first time ever, I have found a doctor that actually took care of me. Dr.Roche was able to thoroughly examine me and identify a cholesteatoma growing In my ear which can be very difficult to diagnose.
I am set to have surgery with Dr.Roche next week and I am extremely confident in his ability as a doctor. He is one of very few doctors out there that seem to treat his patients like family and his resume speaks for itself. Thank you doctor Roche and coastal ENT for finally getting to the bottom of my problem - looking forward to finally feeling some relief!

Didn’t go above and beyond to help an a patient who recently suffered a stroke. Suffering from ear pain for a while, he just cleaned out wax. I had to ask for a hearing test to check for any hearing issues. Didn’t address all concerns and left with questions unanswered. No comfort what so ever

Very helpful and courteous. I can not begin to tell you how appreciative of a patient I am and how much he helped me and saved my hearing and ear. I had such a nasty infection but he was able to clear it after a few visits and give me sound advice to avoid getting that type of nasty infection next time. Thank you so much Doctor Roche.
