After completing his Bachelors Degree at Maryville College, Dr. Sortino studied medicine at the University of Rome, Italy. In 1987, He began practicing medicine as an ER doctor for New York Infermary-Beekman Downtown Hospital in NYC. His love for South Florida brought him back to his hometown of Pompano Beach. He joined the Pompano Medical Group and began building his practice one patient at a time. Today, Dr. Sortino practices in Boca Raton Florida in Royal Palm Place. He’s the Medical Director of the Nurse’s Guild Home Help Agency and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine for Nova Southeastern University.
When he’s not in the office you can find him out on his boat the Medicine Man. He spends his weekends diving or fishing depending on the weather. He works out four days a week and plans to live to 100. He’s fluent in Italian and has a special affinity for Italian Renaissance art.

Dr. Sortino diagnosed me with bells palsey after I had been to the emergency room once and two minor emergency centers twice (all of whom missed the diagnosis). He is an expert in the field of medicine and I feel so safe being under his care!
