Whether your goal is a marathon or a leisurely walk around the block we aim to provide our patients with comprehensive care so that they can get back into the game as quickly and safely as possible
Dr. John Tabacco is a fellowship trained sports medicine primary care physician who received his fellowship training from the world famous Dr. James Andrews at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida.
Dr. Tabacco completed his internal medicine training at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital, a University of Maryland affiliate program. Specializing in the non-operative care of musculoskeletal injuries and joint pain Dr. Tabacco has conducted extensive research and training in the application and use of Platelet Rich Plasma, Adult Mesenchymal Stem Cell treatments as well as the use of ultrasound in diagnosis and treatment. In addition to non-operative treatment of joint pain, Dr. Tabacco also treats concussions, chronic illnesses, and general medical problems. Dr. Tabacco assists in the sports medicine care of the Washington Redskins and the Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas. Dr Tabacco is board certified and is a certified, registered musculoskeletal ultrasonographer.
