He began his private orthopaedic practice in North County San Diego, after completing his service in the US Navy as a Naval Commander in 1995. Currently, he evaluates and treats patients in the cities of Carlsbad and San Diego, as well as in Orange, Riverside, and Los Angeles counties.
His practice is directed towards industrial orthopaedic injuries, but includes the evaluation of all orthopaedic injuries and the performance of all surgeries except spine surgery.
Dr. Kelly has 26 years of experience performing Independent Medical Exams, Qualified Medical Examinations, and Agreed Medical Examinations. He provides comprehensible, ratable reports. He serves as an expert witness for Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Kelly enjoys a diversity of patients. His focus is individualized care specific to the unique needs of the patient. He is contracted with no Health Maintenance Organizations. He studied for a year at University of Innsbruck, Austria and is fluent in German.

I feel the staff is always very friendly. I think they have a good system of appointment reminders and are sensitive to my limited English proficiency.

The staff and Dr. Kelly are personable and professional. I never leave this office feeling like I don't know what's going on, as everyone explains all aspects of my ongoing care. They have advocated for me on numerous occasions. I do not dread the visits like other offices.
