Dr. Jonathan Nassos is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries, including arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, and orthopaedic trauma. He greatly values the individual needs of each patient and is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to his patients. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, his M.D. from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Loyola University Medical Center.
Following residency, he completed an orthopaedic sports medicine fellowship at the prestigious Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California. During his time there, he was an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Sparks, Anaheim Ducks, and Loyola Marymount University. He has been active in research which has been presented at both national and international scientific meetings. He is currently an Associate Master Instructor of Arthroscopy, teaching other orthopaedic surgeons leading edge arthroscopic surgical procedures.. Dr.Nassos lives in Los Angeles with his wife Jenni. He enjoys running, basketball, and golf.

I am so impressed with my visit with Dr Nassos today. More so than I have been with a doctor in a long time. Even as a first time patient with an appointment made the day before, not only was I seen right away, but the doctor took more time with me than every other doctor I've seen in years put together. After a decade of daily shoulder pain, I feel hopeful for the first time in a long time! Will definitely recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic care!

Dr. Nassos was thorough in his explanations and really listened to how I wanted to be treated. He offered alternatives and explained each option; offering suggestions based on what he understood of my personality and life habits. Considering I was a first time patient, that was pretty impressive. He and his staff are all lovely and I would highly recommend his medical services.

Dr Nassos was great, but Synapse is a very large medical group and they're not super efficient - I've been twice now and had long waits both times. All of the front office people were very nice and it seemed like they were working to keep everything moving quickly; I think they're just understaffed.

Wonderful doctor! He took his time with me, explained in plain terms what my condition was/is, and, instead of taking the opportunity to do X-Rays (which I was prepared to shell out for), he treated me right on the spot and I've seen a major improvement. It's my belief that Many doctors would've done X-Rays anyway, even if they know the situation doesn't warrant it or it's completely unnecessary. The fact that he spared me from this absolutely floored me. He also suggested that surgery was not likely necessary and, being an un-insured patient, this was incredible news. I may still have to have surgery, but it won't be because a doctor wanted to rush in and out of the room and just "get it over with," thus leaving me with the easiest and typically-acceptable solution. Dr Nassos sincerely took time with me, has a great personality, and really knows his stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him for further needs.

I have had a chronic problem on my left shoulder for years. Recently I reinjured and was having quite of bit of pain. Dr Nassos was very attentive to my history and soon found the problem... A cortisone injection on the right spot has given me not only relief from the pain I was having but also more mobility. Just two days later I am able to move my left arm and shoulder with much more ease than the whole past year.
